Apple is Going to Manufacture iPhone XS and XR in India

Today, the iPhone is the most popular phone in the world. Former Apple CEO Steve Jobs introduced phonies in 2007. iPhone is a line of smartphones designed and marketed by Apple Inc. All generations of the iPhone use Apple’s IOS mobile operating system software. Since then, Apple has released eleven generations of iPhone models and the iPhone has been selling every country.

In the year 2019, Apple has announced that its high – end iPhone phones will be manufactured in India.

Apple hopes to get the support of Foxconn, who is already in the pipeline and has already made a significant contribution to its Chinese – owned iPhone products. Assembly of the devices will take place at a plant in Sriperumbudur operated by controversial tech manufacturing firm Foxconn.

However, Apple has been manufacturing mobile phones in India since 2007, but it’s has been produced only by cheaper handsets like iPhone SE. However, with this new situation, they are ready to produce high – end smartphones, iPhone X, XS, and XR phones in India.
It’s a move that would make a lot of sense for Apple.

This is mainly due to the fact that the Government of India has imposed a heavy tax on mobile phones imported to the country but the Indian Government imposed a low tax on mobile parts.

While Apple holds about 13 percent of the smartphone market share worldwide, it has just two percent of the market in India according to a Bloomberg report earlier this year.

Due to the low tax on manufacturing mobile phones in India Apple get the chance to sell their products cheaper and can challenge to other companies like Samsung and Xiaomi.

The most popular Apple phone in the country is the decidedly dated iPhone 6, and while the company is certainly trying to boost sales of its more expensive new phones, it’s still going to be an uphill battle to break into the market. It still remains to be seen whether cheaper iPhone X models will be the tipping point, but by building the phones in India, Apple is at least doing all it can to set itself up to try.

Let’s see how this iPhone  X, XS, and XR phones are going to be manufactured in India.
